Frequently Asked Questions

The frequency of physical therapy sessions varies based on individual needs, the specific condition being treated, and the recommendations of the physical therapist.

Initially, for acute injuries or post-surgical recovery, a therapist might recommend sessions 2-3 times a week to ensure optimal healing and prevent complications.

For ongoing or chronic issues, once or twice a week might be typical, gradually decreasing as improvement is noted.

Therapy once every couple of weeks or even once a month. This is for preexisting patients that have completed a Plan of Care in the past 3 months! This option is for maintanance on the area that the plan of care was completed for! New injuries requires a new Plan of care.

Per insurance Guidelines, to use insurance for Physical therapy services, their must be a dedicated Plan of care established consisting of 1-3x/wk of Skilled Therapy Services over a duration ranging from 1-3 months.

If a patient doesn’t fall under these specifications, this is considered out of compliance and the patient will be fully responsible for coverage of care.

Additional Physical Therapy Treatment Modalities

High-Tech Evidence backed  modalities that may be used in conjunction with your Physical therapy treatment above:

Neubie by Neufit

NeuFit® uses electrical stimulation to promote neuromuscular reeducation, reduce pain, and accelerate rehabilitation.

This exclusive treatment enables your body to heal itself faster by precisely identifying underlying nervous system issues that are delaying recovery of an injury; then assisting to re-educate the body back to a state of normal, optimal functioning.

Dry Needling

This is a modern treatment for the management of chronic pain. Dry needling is safe, minimally discomforting, and an effective technique for patients with musculoskeletal pain issues.

Dry needling is a treatment performed by our certified, trained physical therapists and uses a thin, solid filament pin that is inserted into the skin and stimulates underlying myofascial trigger points, muscles, and connective tissues. The pin enables the therapist to target tissues that are inaccessible by hand.

Radial Pressure Wave (RPW) Therapy

Radial pressure waves help offer a non invasive treatment solution to long term insertion and soft tissue pathologies. Local treatment in the affected area will help support and reset the healing pattern.

There are several working hypothesis for the physical effects of radial pressure waves, pain reduction and increased blood circulation that may be quite beneficial:

Neurologically, shock waves produce a counter irritation at the dorsal root ganglion actually modulating the amount of
nocioceptive activity and decreasing the pain signal and actually closing the theoretical pain gate (explained by the Gate-Control-Theory)3

Vascular changes such as increased blood circulate in tissues, which increases the oxygen content and significantly reduce the
concentration of carbon dioxide in the tissue which may stimulate the healing process1

XLi Deep Tissue Therapy Laser

Laser therapy is a surgery-free, drug-free option for individuals suffering from both acute and chronic pain.  Treatments are fast, safe, and painless. Most patients see results in 3 to 5 treatment sessions, and patients can expect notable pain relief, with the effects lasting longer after each treatment.

Hydroworx Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy is an exercise solution for all levels of weight-bearing. As a non or partial weight -bearing patient, having a ay to move and safely behind rehabilitation can do amazing things for the body and emotional well-being.
